Happy Birthday Google

Today is Google's seventh birthday. What a glorious occasion to celebrate. Google has brought us many things over the course of its life, but none is as popular like it's Web searching. Google has brought upon us a whole new industry, search engine optimization. The word is soon to be incorporated into the English language in its many forms. Verbs such as "google it", nouns as in "Why don't you google that?" and there is not a person in the world who doesn't recognize the word and can correctly identified the colorful rainbow logo.

But what else have google brought us? It has provided the very platform I use to post this blog. The google folks support a ton of research, inclusive of Google Earth, a fun program that allows you to locate any address via satellite imagery. For more Google Programs check this out.

Although they provide us with so many useful utilities, they are yet to break away from its core which was Web searching, when can we expect to be able to hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button and land on the right answer... soon enough.
