If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that Acme crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
I have always been puzzled by many things like this, but even more puzzling to me is usability testing, or rather lack of it. How many sites have you visited to find that it's very hard to locate the information that you are seeking.
Usability testing should be a top priority for a Web Developer, Designer, Editor and Project Manager. A Web Team should realize that they may be creating the best content, be using the greatest and appealing graphics, but if a person can get to the content they are seeking, the Web site will fail.
A well organize site is great, but organization is subjective. What may appear organize to one person could appear disorganized and cumbersome to someone else. This is the reason for testing. To approach your usability testing, you must assemble a random group of your targeted audience and let them tell you what they like and dislike about your site. You must remain objective and listen to these people comments and suggestions as they will make or break the success of your site.
