As an avid Web surfer you know that many sites required you to login to view their content. I have asked myself many a times why do you need an email account other than to spam me. As a Web designer or developer, you should already be aware that regular folks do not like to fill out information to get content.

The New York Times Web site is yet to understand this. They loose countless page views a day just by the mere factor that you cannot read a whole story without registering. What do they have to gained other than another subscriber on their database. The days of revenue via spam are coming to an end.
