Time to trim the fat
I was just reading a Reuters article which talked about obesity and the repercussions. Typically these articles speak of heart disease, diabetes, and other problems associated with being obese. The funny thing is that article looked at a different aspect of obesity, one I never thought of, it speaks of the problems doctors face when dealing with an obese patient, in particular injections. The article suggests longer needles for patients who have too much fat on their buttocks. This is amusing at best.
The bottom line is that instead of trying to accommodate the patients, doctors should encourage those who are overweight and obese to join in an exercise program and follow a lower fat diets. If doctors are not willing to guide patients on the right track then who will?
