Congress is at it again...
Starting early 2006, congress will meet to re-write Internet laws that govern the telecom industry. You might have heard of VoIP (voice over internet protocol), basically phone over the internet, it is a fast growing industry. The telecom giants, AT&T, SBC, Verizon, among others are lobbying to regulate the speed of the internet. To learn more about VoIP, logon to TMCnet.
What this pontetially means is that you will receive slower connections unless you are part of these telecom giants and are a VoIP subscriber. This is definitely unconstitutional and I urge you to contact both your representative and your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to prevent this flux on Internet speed from happening.
